Artshots Deadline May 1

Interested in giving Art a Shot? Then ArtShots might be for you!

ArtShots is a filmmaking competition designed to showcase the work of videomakers and to give them the opportunity to create strong working relationships with prominent area artists and arts organizations.

In past competitions, ArtShots competitors have had the opportunity to work with musicians like Amy Obenski, Tin Cat, and the Silicon Valley Chorale. Other producers worked with arts organizations like ZERO1, San Jose Taiko, and Guitars, not Guns.

How does it work?

Every filmmaker who registers for the competition will be matched with an artist or arts organization. Then, the filmmaker/artist teams have TWO weeks to create a 90-second clip that captures the essence of the artist.

Important Dates:

  • May 1: ArtShots Registration Deadline and Kickoff

  • May 20: ArtShots Turn-In Deadline
  • June 1: ArtShots Jurists Deadline
  • June 5: ArtShots Awards Show
