CreaTV San Jose Welcomes CAA Students

On December 9, 2009, students from the College of Adaptive Arts toured the CreaTV San Jose facility, learning how they could use the facility and cable channels to inform the community about their activities. The College of Adaptive Arts offers visual and performing arts diploma tracks to adults with differeing abilties. Look for their program on Channel 15 in the months to come.

TV Directing Class

CreaTV San Jose invites you to our Visual Aesthetics for Directing and Shooting class on Friday, December 4 from 5:30 - 8:30pm. Veteran TV Director Jim Risinger provides beginning and wannabe video directors and camera-persons with tips, centering on the objective and subjective aesthetics of television. This course is designed to impart the proper language of directing and shooting, the relationship between the director and his/her field or studio crews, hosts, and guests; working with formats and production timing, cutting / dissolving rules to follow with interview and music shows, differences between single-camera and multiple-camera directing, suggestions about shot composition, and follow-up tasks of production, editing notes, distribution, and playback information.
